Melbourne International Cricket Academy
The Melbourne International Cricket Academy was created to give overseas players the chance to train, play and live in Australia taking in the chance to gain an insight into cricket the “Aussie Way”.
Established in 2007 students have come from all parts of the globe to spend time in Melbourne under the SBCC coaching team. Students have had access to former Australian Test players, Merv Hughes, Graham Yallop, Keith Stackpole, Damien Fleming, Ray Bright and Colin Miller as well as experts in fielding and fitness.
Programs have ranged from 2 weeks to 6 months with several students taking the option to play a full season in Melbourne.
Coaching sessions are based at our purpose-built indoor facility featuring replay coaching screens in each net, bowling machines & dartfish computer analysis.
Over 100 Students & their families have travelled from India, England, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, USA, Canada, Malaysia and Swaziland to be part of the M.I.C.A
Available year round we will develop a coaching plan to meet your individual needs, length of stay and budget. Your "Aussie Experience" will enable you to reach your personal cricket goals.
M.I.C.A has three main options for students
1. Individual/small group program - the majority of students join the academy for our outstanding individual coaching and training sessions. Placements vary from 2-4 weeks to 3 to 6 month Summer placement. Click here for details
