Year-Round Development
Take your cricket skills to the next level with the SBCC Academy, now expanded to offer support all year! Perfect for players aged 7–17, this comprehensive program is tailored to provide year-round coaching and match preparation led by Melbourne’s best coaches. Best of all you do not have to do all sessions and can add the sessions that best suit you.
Program Highlights
- Wnter warriors (May–September)
Personal Coaching: Receive 10 or 20 one-on-one coaching sessions with Melbourne’s top coaches.
SBCC Group Academies: Participate in 12 group academy sessions at Clever Cricket Thomastown or our other venues from June to September. Each session focuses on specific skills to prepare you for the upcoming season.
- Spring Full-Scale Match (September)
Location: Shepparton
Event: Compete in a 40-over-per-side match on the AFL Grand Final public holiday, providing a practical application of your enhanced skills
- September Holiday Specialist Sessions (September)
Location: Clever Cricket, Thomastown
Dates: Week 1 of September School Holidays
Time: 10:00AM – 12:00PM or 1:00 – 3:00PM

Format: Engage in three full-scale matches adhering to senior cricket rules—no retirements for batsmen, and bowlers have maximum overs.
- Summer cricket camps (December & January)
Location: Vic Metro, Country, NSW Country, WA Metro & Country
Dates: December & January
Time: 9:00AM to 3.00PM

- Winter Warriors Inclusions
- May – Induction night including a lecture from a former International player), winter uniform (track suit and shirt) and video workshops
- May – September – 10 or 20 personal one to one coaching sessions.
- June – September – Group Academy Sessions – 12 x 1 hour sessions focusing on different skills required in cricket.
- September Specialist Sessions & Holiday Camps – 1 or more specialist sessions of your choice in week 1 of September Holidays. 2 Day Cricket camps featuring coaching from our staff and former international players.
- September AFL grand final public holiday – Full scale matches (40 overs per side)
- October to Nov – realCricket full scale matches x 3
- October-December & February – April – Additional (optional) one to one sessions until season end.
- Optional extra – Access to Clever Cricket indoor centre including nets, bowling machines and the exclusive Dartfish computer coaching program for $12 an hour! (unlimited)
- Membership of Clever Cricket Indoor Centre in Thomastown
- Optional extra – First option on tours to NZ, India & UK!
